2008 Collings 002H G – £3999

NEW ARRIVAL  Collings has consistently hit the mark with its superb interpretations of classic flattop acoustics, and the 002H 12 Fret is a loving tribute to the pre war guitars Martin produced long before larger instruments such as the orchestra and dreadnought took over. Together with a custom ordered German Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides, there’s an Ebony fingerboard and pyramid bridge, with Waverley tuners, all adding up to classic, clean lines. Tonally this is one of the most perfectly balanced guitars I’ve played. It’s strong fundamental woodiness provides fantastic note separation and clarity, accented by just enough of the complexity and shimmer that Collings are known for. It’s a fingerpicker’s dream. The guitar is in very good condition – the end tip of the pickguard is missing – with great playability. The guitar has a K and K pickup fitted and comes in it’s original deluxe hard case.
