2007 Gibson Hummingbird – £2499

NEW ARRIVAL  The Hummingbird is one of Gibson’s most iconic acoustic guitars, and visually it has to be my favourite model. The beautifully faded Cherry sunburst finish blending into an amber centre, contrasting beautifully with the unmistakable Hummingbird pickguard, and the Mahogany back and sides which are highly figured. This guitar has all the unmistakable characteristics of one of Gibson’s flagship dreadnoughts, which makes them sound so familiar. When you start playing it’s reminiscent of so many famous recordings – mellow, smooth, warm and rich. The bound neck makes it feel very easy to play, and the action is comfortable. The guitar is in good condition, with a few dings on the headstock, some playwear around the pickguard, and a visible ding on the treble side lower bout. It has an active undersaddle pickup fitted with volume control inside the soundhole, and comes in it’s original hard case.
