2005 Gallager Doc Watson – £2399

NEW ARRIVAL  Doc Watson had been playing Gallagher guitars since 1968, and in 1974 collaborated with them to produce the Doc Watson model. It’s now become the most recognisable Gallagher model in their production line. The guitar is a beautifully built Mahogany bodied dreadnought with Spruce top, and Ebony fingerboard and bridge. The finishing touches of Maple binding, herringbone trim and Mother of Pearl fingerboard inlays are enough to keep the looks classic but seriously high end. Tonally the bass notes are well defined, the mids are subtle, and the trebles shimmer. Although designed with flat picking in mind, it has enough versatility to handle all playing styles with clarity and definition. The guitar’s in excellent condition with great playability, and has an active LR Baggs pickup fitted with volume control mounted inside the soundhole. It comes in a non original hard case.
