2005 Eastman AR905CE Uptown – £1199

NEW ARRIVAL  Eastman have become a major player in the archtop world, and their Uptown range essentially represents their Custom Shop guitars. Made from all solid, hand carved AAA tonewoods, this model features a Spruce top with flamed Maple back and sides, and Ebony fingerboard, bridge, tailpiece and pickguard. The flamed Maple binding, and Ebony buttoned, gold Schaller tuners are a classy finishing touch. The guitar has a deep amber finish which is very striking, and contrasts beautifully with the pickguard and gold floating pickup. The tone is full, airy and complex, and the full 17″ body produces an incredibly well-rounded single note sound and lush overtones that make chords sing. The guitar is in good condition, with a couple of top lacquer cracks, and two small hearts engraved on the back. With a very comfortable feeling neck and easy action, this is a player’s dream. The guitar comes in it’s original case.
