1999 Martin SWOM – £1299

NEW ARRIVAL  Introduced in the late 90’s, Martin’s SW (Sustainable Wood) range was one of the first of it’s kind. Proving that high end guitars can be produced in an ethically sourced way. This OM is made from all solid woods, and features a Sitka Spruce top with Cherry back and sides. The finishing touches are particularly striking, with faux tortoise head plate, rosette, heel cap, body binding and centre back stripe, and really set the guitar off against the aged toner. Tonally it’s very interesting, as Cherry has the smoothness of Mahogany and the detail of Rosewood. It’s hugely versatile, capable of both bright and punchy tones, yet quite complex and able to handle the most subtle of playing styles – beautifully balanced with great definition. The guitar is in excellent condition, with only light signs of playwear, and has an active under saddle pickup fitted. It comes in it’s original Martin embossed hard case.
