1980 Martin D37K – £1799

NEW ARRIVAL This is one of my favourite Martin models, though quite a rare one being only made between 1980 – 1995, making this from the first year of issue. It’s a dreadnought with Spruce top and flamed Koa back and sides – adding to it’s rarity is that Koa is only grown in Hawaii and therefore in short supply. The aged Koa wood really makes a difference to the sound, ultra crisp clear high end with beautiful sustain, mellow mid range and a really deep bass. The gorgeous wood grain with high gloss finish just makes this high end Martin stand out from the crowd. The guitar is all original, in very good condition with the sort of playwear you’d expect from a 40 year old guitar, with two professional top crack repairs. Once you pick up the guitar it’s very difficult to put back down, the action is comfortable and the tone just beautiful – this guitar demands to be played. It comes in it’s original Marin embossed hard case.

1948 Martin 0-15 – £2499

NEW ARRIVAL  This is a rare find, there were fewer 0-15’s made than the better known 00-15’s and 00-17’s, and such an early example is a real treat. The all Mahogany body gives warmth and depth to the woody tone, and the slightly smaller body than a 00 gives this...

1938 Martin R17 – £2199

NEW ARRIVAL  Only produced between 1932 and 1942, Martin’s R series archtops are pretty hard to find, and it’s very unusual to find an all Mahogany archtop. Not the wood of choice at the time, but 80 years on and the Mahogany has aged and matured beautifully. It gives...

1973 Martin D28 – £2399

NEW ARRIVAL  With 60’s D28’s becoming very expensive because of the scarcity of Brazilian Rosewood, early 70’s examples are now much more sought after. This is a fine example, it’s 47 years of play have given the guitar a richer, fuller bodied tone than more recent...
