1979 Gibson ES-347 – £2849
ON HOLD Introduced to replace the ES-345, and only made between 1978 – 1991, the ES-347 is essentially a deluxe ES-335 with a coil tap switch, block markers on an Ebony fretboard, fine tuning tailpiece and a brass nut. This example also features a master volume knob. The ES-347 has a somewhat brighter tone and better sustain than most other Gibson ES guitars – due to the brass nut and they way the bridge is mounted on two 5/8″ brass studs. The pickups are two high output Series VII Super Humbuckers which sound fantastic. The guitar is hugely versatile, capable of taking you from smooth jazz, through dirty blues, all the way to driving rock. It’s in very good condition with just one wear patch on the back, and has a great feeling neck with very easy action. The guitar comes in it’s original hard case.
