1975 Guild D25 – £1399
NEW ARRIVAL The Guild D25 has become quite a desirable vintage guitar over the years, partly because it’s the model played by Ryan Adams on his early albums. Made in the famous Westerly factory in Rhode Island, it’s an unusual example of a dreadnought made with an arched back. What this does to the sound is produce stronger mids, as the back curves towards the soundhole. Also unusual is that it has a Spruce top that’s been stained a Mahogany colour. Tonally it’s a very versatile guitar, the bass is strong, the mids are full, and the trebles sing – the overall sound is warm. This is one of the cleanest examples I’ve seen, the neck is comfortable and the action is just right. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
