1974 Gibson SJ Deluxe – £1999

NEW ARRIVAL  This is a great example of a vintage Gibson square shouldered dreadnought. It has an iconic look with a faded cherry sunburst Spruce top, beautifully complimented by a 3 point black pickguard, and well figured Mahogany back and sides. The SJ is like a less blingy Hummingbird, with a bound body and neck, a crown headstock inlay and block fingerboard inlays. Tonally it has a full sound from deep bass through rich mids to warm trebles – very versatile handling both strumming and fingerstyle equally well. The guitar is in good, well played condition, with a repaired top crack, and a lots of play wear, particularly on the back. It’s just back from a neck reset, so the action is just right, with plenty of saddle height. The guitar has an active Fishman under saddle pickup fitted with tone and volume controls mounted inside the soundhole. It comes in it’s original hard case.
