1972 Martin D28S – £2499

NEW ARRIVAL  The Martin D28S was produced between 1964 – 1993 and is still one of the most unusual and eye catching dreadnoughts from the Martin catalogue. A slope shouldered dreadnought with a slotted headstock and 12 frets to the body make it a very different beast to the traditional D28. The 12 fret join on a large body produces a far greater bass response, and a more dynamic guitar altogether. It features a Spruce top with Rosewood back and sides, Ebony fretboard and bridge, and super cool Grover tuners. The guitar is in very good condition, with plenty of age related scuffs, and repaired top cracks. It has a K and K Pure pickup system fitted, and comes in it’s very desirable original powder blue hard case.

NEW ARRIVAL  This is a rare find, there were fewer 0-15’s made than the better known 00-15’s and 00-17’s, and such an early example is a real treat. The all Mahogany body gives warmth and depth to the woody tone, and the slightly smaller body than a 00 gives this...

SOLD  With 60’s D28’s becoming very expensive because of the scarcity of Brazilian Rosewood, early 70’s examples are now much more sought after. This is a fine example, it’s 48 years of play have given the guitar a richer, fuller bodied tone than more recent examples....
