1967 Epiphone Texan – £1999

NEW ARRIVAL  This guitar is a great example of a Gibson made Epiphone, during the time when Gibson had bought Epiphone and both brands were made under the same roof in Kalamazoo Michigan. It’s arguably Epiphone’s most famous flat top model thanks to it’s association with the Beatles. It’s also a classic 60’s workhorse guitar. The Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides give the guitar a rich warm sound, and the slope shoulders give a wonderful rounded bass, yet well balanced in the mids and trebles making it a very versatile guitar. Visually the dark cherry sunburst top is still vivid, contrasting beautifully with it’s amber centre. The neck feels comfortable, and the low action makes the guitar a treat to play. It’s in good condition, with lots of light playwear and lacquer checking, all original with one repair on the back of the headstock – it looks like a scratch but may once have been a crack, it’s been done so well it’s difficult to tell. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.

2006 Gibson Advanced Jumbo – £2199

NEW ARRIVAL  The Advanced Jumbo is a fine example of why Gibson’s reissue series is so important. The AJ was first introduced in the 1930’s, and only 300 were made. So very few people will ever have the privilege of playing one. When Gibson reintroduced the model on...
