1966 Hagstrom J45 – £899

NEW ARRIVAL  For vintage looks and vibe alone, this Hagstrom take on the famous Gibson J45 is a winner. The model was first introduced in 1963, but by 1967 it had a a bolt on neck and unbound fingerboard, and by 1968 a tailpiece. So pre ’67 models are the most desirable, and going up in value. The guitar features a very striking block inlaid fingerboard, eye catching pickguard, and Van Ghent tuners as were used on Guilds and Gretsches of this time. The tone is very full sounding, with plenty of bass, strong mids and a sparkle in the trebles. It’s in very good, all original condition, with no cracks or repairs, and has a very comfortable neck and good action. The guitar has an active under saddle pickup fitted with volume control mounted inside the soundhole, and comes in a non original hard case.
