1965 Guild T100D Slim Jim – £1249

NEW ARRIVAL  Built in the Hoboken, New Jersey factory, the Slim Jim is the single coil equivalent to the Starfire 3. In production from 1958 – 1973 it’s a very distinctive looking guitar in a very striking sunburst finish. It features a 16″ single cutaway body, a bound Maple top, back and sides, bound Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard. The guitar is in great condition, all original with no cracks or repairs – the front shows that it been looked after really well, and the back tells you it’s been played a lot with plenty of buckle wear visible. Plugged in, the front pickup is warm and smooth sounding, very bluesy, while the back pickup has a rocky tone with plenty of bite. The guitar has a good weight to it, feeling well balanced, and the neck is very comfortable with a great playing action. The guitar is full of character, and a great way to buy an American made 60’s electric without paying a fortune. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
