1955 Martin 00-17 – £3499

NEW ARRIVAL This is a great example of a difficult to find Martin model. Now very popular as Martin reissues, this is one of the originals, an all Mahogany 00 size acoustic. Tonally it has a warm, smooth sound, surprisingly full sounding when strummed, with beautifully defined single notes when fingerpicked, and an unmistakable vintage tone – in fact it’s a very difficult guitar to put down. You start playing, and songs just come to you. The neck feels great to play with a gentle V profile, and the action is just right. The guitar is structurally sound with two repaired top cracks, and a filled jack on the bottom edge. It comes in a non original hard case.
