1949 Gibson L50 – £1999
NEW ARRIVAL This is a stunning example of a 40’s Gibson archtop, in one of the most vivid tobacco sunbursts I’ve seen. The bound neck with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays make it one of the most distinctive looking archtops Gibson made. The tone is voiced beautifully for blues, jazz and swing, has a very comfortable neck and a great playing action – even beyond the 12th fret which is unusual on old archtops. The guitar is in excellent, all original condition, with no cracks or repairs. As 40’s archtops go, this example looks, feels and sounds fantastic. It comes in a non original hard case.
