1937 Gibson L00 – £3299

SOLD  The L00 is probably Gibson’s best know blues guitar, and to find a 30’s example is becoming quite difficult. This guitar has been refinished which can often take away from the vintage tone, but in this case it sounds like an 84 year old guitar, yet feels modern to play. It sounds full of character, the single note clarity is excellent and the sustain is really impressive. Also it’s very comfortable to play, the V profile neck feels great. For such an old guitar, it’s in good condition, with just a couple of repaired back cracks, an a slight impression around the soundhole where I think an extra pickguard was fitted at some point in the guitar’s history. The guitar comes in a non original, hard case.

1967 Gibson LG0 – £1299

NEW ARRIVAL  Gibson’s LG0 is the lesser known cousin of the LG1 - a 00 sized, ladder braced acoustic, but with a Mahogany top rather than Spruce. The tone is smoother and warmer than an LG1, and what it lacks in attack it makes up for in sustain. The guitar works...
