1930’s Regal Stars and Moons Parlour Resonator – £1249
SOLD Based in Chicago in the 1930’s, Regal produced some fantastic looking guitars, and with the stars and moons resonator cover plate, this has to be one of the coolest Regals I’ve seen. For those who want the bite of a steel resonator, but the versatility of a wood bodied acoustic, this is an ideal solution. As well as it’s stunning good looks it offers a warmer, richer tone than an all steel bodied resonator. Tonally it has grunt and drive when played hard, working well for slide, but can play slow blues beautifully, and has enough twang to please country players. With it’s parlour size guitar, it even works well as a couch guitar. It’s in good condition for it’s age, just a few repaired cracks, has a very comfortable chunky feeling neck, and good playing action. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
