1930’s Regal Parlour – £699

NEW ARRIVAL  Regal are probably the best known of the Chicago guitar builders of the 1930’s. From the lower end guitars with floating bridges and tailpieces – often incorporating stencil designs, right through to top of the range Brazilian Rosewood parlour guitars. This example is from Regal’s mid range, with fixed bridge, solid headstock, open back tuners, and beautiful dark sunburst. It’s constructed of all solid Birch with a Poplar neck, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, and ladder bracing. The tone is full, more open than a lot of these Chicago blues boxes, with great mids and strong trebles. It excels with the blues, but can handle flat picking and light strumming very well. The guitar is in very good condition for it’s age, the neck has a soft V profile, and very comfortable action. It comes in a non original hard case.
