1930’s Regal Le Domino Big Boy – £999

NEW ARRIVAL  This Le Domino guitar from the late 1930s, was made by Regal of Chicago, and was the biggest and boldest-looking archtop in that line of instruments. It’s roughly 000-sized with deeper sides, a flat back, and a big old press-arched top. It features all solid woods – a Spruce top, with Birch back and sides, Poplar neck and an ‘Ebonized’ Maple fretboard. These Depression era guitars are becoming quite desirable, and with the Domino decals and dark sunburst finish, this is a real head turner. It has a wide nut (1 7/8″) and a V-shaped neck which, combined with the balanced, honky, gutsy mid-range tone, makes an excellent fingerpicking blues guitar. The action is surprisingly low, making it a really enjoyable playing experience. As you’d expect from a guitar of this age, there are a few tightly repaired top cracks, but overall it’s in good condition. The guitar comes in a non original hard case.
